Boarding & Daycare

A yard just for special needs dogs! Their yard opens into the family room to insure your dog has a quiet and resful time while still having human supervision and companionship.

Usual customers are

 

  • Individuals who work and bring their dog to day care

 

  • People traveling who want their dog to have a vacation too

 

  • People who are hospitalized and want a comfortable place for their pet

 

  • Individuals who want their dogs socialized so they are better with other dogs.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

  • 6:00 AM boarders are fed breakfast before any day care dogs arrrive. Dogs individually greeted at driveway when they arrive for the day.

  • Dog care dogs are introduced to other dogs that are visitng the center

  • 10 AM all dogs arrive

  • 10:00 AM dogs are pack-walked on leash in 5-acre fenced property (on a long gravel driveway) at the rear of the center

  • 11:00 AM dogs have supervised play time outside in 6' high fenced dog yard

  • 12:00 PM dogs enjoy nap time in dog room in the home

  • 1:00 PM dogs have supervised play time outside in 6' high fenced dog yard which contains toys and shallow pool during the summer.

  • 4:00 PM day care dogs eat their dinner during this transition time,  then are supervised in the dog yard as they get ready to retun home.  During this time, boarders are also fed dinner.

  • 2-5 PM owners arrive; dogs escorted to driveway for ride home

  • In the winter, all boarded dogs are in the day care room for the night by 7 PM to transition to quiet before bedtime.  All dogs are encouraged to visit the dog yard around 9 PM for a brief 'pit stop.'

  • Dogs are separated into one of two groups depending on size or special needs.  If a dog is experiencing stress or separation anxiety, s/he will be allowed to sleep in Donna's bedroom.
